Song of Songs 8:6-7
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love,
it would be utterly scorned.
These two verses describe the love I have towards Jesus. It is a love that burns like blazing fire within my soul, and nothing can quench this love but only him. I've titled this blog "Forever My First Love", because he will always be my first love, my only true love. Nothing or no one on this earth compares to the love he has towards his children. It is a love that is still hard for me to grasp, and yet fully understand but I know that I cannot possibly live without it. Just as the verse describes this "love is as strong as death". Knowing him is what keeps me going, even in the process of life, the trials and tribulation, it is his love that holds me together. All I need is you Jesus!
